Advanced Towing Technology
Tacoma allows you to tow with confidence, thanks to available advanced technology like Trailer Backup Guide with Straight Path Assist, an integrated brake controller, and Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) that extends the area of detection when it identifies a trailer is being towed. The 2026 Toyota Tacoma offers a maximum towing capacity of up to 6,500 lbs (approx. 2,903 kg) when properly equipped with the 2.4L turbocharged engine. The hybrid i-FORCE MAX models offer a slightly lower maximum towing capacity of 5,950 lbs to 6,000 lbs.

- Blind Spot Monitor With Rear Cross Traffic Alert - Tacoma's available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) is designed to warn you when a vehicle in the next lane enters your blind spot on either side of the vehicle. When you're reversing out of a tight spot, available Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) helps detect vehicles approaching from either side.
- Digital Rearview Mirror - Connected to a camera in the rear, Tacoma's available digital rearview mirror with integrated HomeLink® universal transceiver buttons casts a clear, wide and obstruction free view of what's behind you.
